Ballarat Tips 26/10/2026

BEST BET 🏆

Race 4 No. 2 ELPHINSTONE- ($2.35)

ELPHINSTONE should be hard to beat in Race 4 of the day at Ballarat. The Tony & Calvin McEvoy-trained galloper has finished runner-up in three of her four career starts. She has had two runs this time in and settled midfield at Moonee Valley over the 1200m in the most recent of those before just missing out behind Reprisal, going 1.4 length faster than standard, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has produced. The daughter of Street Boss comes back to a country setting and should take some beating.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 5 No. 10 BATRANA.- ($2.70)

This looks to be a suitable assignment for BATRANA. Another from the Tony & Calvin McEvoy stable, the three-year-old did a bit wrong in a strong form race when resuming with a 3rd at Seymour on September 17 before heading to Sandown  and placing 4th over the 1400m, beaten just half a length. She settled last that day and produced the fastest 400m-200m split before just peaking late. The daughter of Justify will strip fitter for this and will be hard to hold out late in the piece.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 7 No. 5 RICH PARIS ($13)

Looking for some improvement from RICH PARIS in Race 7. The five-year-old didn’t do much when resuming with a 7th at Warrnambool on September 25 but should improve at her second run back and presents appeal at the price. She won first up at Warrnambool at her last preparation in a Maiden before improving nearly six lengths on benchmark figures to take out a BenchMark 64 over the 1000m. The daughter of Danerich has been supported in the early betting.
