Race 6 No. 7 ALL SO CLEAR – ($4.80)

ALL SO CLEAR shapes as a solid player in Race 6. The Team Hayes galloper has had two runs this time in and was 4th at Sale when resuming before finishing 5th at Geelong over the 1741m at his most recent start. That came three weeks ago and he was held up at different stages before running on. The son of So You Think comes into this third up and at his previous runs at this stage he has spiked on benchmark figures. Dan Stackhouse rides and the pair draw barrier 3.

Race 2 No 8 THE BIG SHAMROCK – ($13)

THE BIG SHAMROCK can go close after a last start effort that saw him finish runner-up when resuming at Wodonga on August 6. That came over the 1200m and he led them up that day before missing out late behind Patchouli Dream. Those two put a six-length gap on the rest of them. He went 1.5 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has produced. Improvement to come at his second run this time in and with a bit of give in the ground he can go one better.
