Bendigo Tips for Sunday, September 27

BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)

Race 9 No. 7 BELMIA- ($2.60)

BELMIA can end the day a winner. The four-year-old could only manage 6th at Sandown when resuming but settled back and they went slowly early on. She worked home to finish two lengths off the winner. The Jamie Edwards-trained galloper will have benefitted from that hitout and improved more than seven lengths at her last preparation when second up then was unlucky behind the likes of Benedetta later on. She has been steady in the early betting for this and will be ridden by Craig Williams, who strikes at 20% for the stable, providing a 23% profit on turnover for punters.

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN)

Race 5 No 2 APEROL BLITZ- ($3.50)

This looks to be a suitable assignment for APEROL BLITZ. The four-year-old has had the five career starts for a win and three placings. She was solid when resuming at Geelong when running on for 3rd behind Bonjour then chased solids when landing in the same position behind Glitzing over the 1200m at Geelong. The winner out of that has since claimed a BenchMark 70, while three others have gone on to score. The Nick Ryan-trained galloper drops to BenchMark 58 and spiked on benchmark figures at this stage of her last preparation when 3rd at Sandown. She gets the 3kg claim for Thomas Prebble and draws to save ground from the inside barrier.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 8 No. 5 KARALEE ROCKS- ($3.50)

Keen on KARALEE ROCKS at her first run back from a spell. The five-year-old is unbeaten in three runs when fresh and scored at Geelong at her first run back at her last preparation, running on strongly from the tail in a $100,000 BenchMark 64 race on Good Friday. She was then 5th in a BM78 at Sandown over the 1300m. The daughter of Flying Artie went more than three lenghts faster than standard benchmark in both of those runs. Anything around that mark or better will be very competitive in this.
