This looks to be a suitable assignment for QUADTRATIC. The Team Hayes galloper has had the three career starts and comes off a last start runner-up performance when stepping up to the 2000m at his last start. That came at Stawell and he settled handy in a strongly run race, producing the fastest last 200m when going down to Lupine. The son of Dundeel enjoyed a five-length gap back to the rest of them and went 3.3 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is the best last start figure of any runner. He looks like he can stay all day and the extra 200m suits.

Race 1 No.7 CAPZINI- ($4.40) 

Willing to roll the dice on CAPZINI in Race 1. The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper resumed from a spell at Moonee Valley on February 9 over the 1000m and was disappointing that night but did have an excuse when pulling up with an injury. She showed a bit at her first preparation when second up, finishing 3rd at Canterbury behind How Dare You before a luckless 4th in a solid form race at Warwick Farm. With even luck from the wide barrier, the daughter of Capitalist can go close.
