Race 9 No. 1 NO CHANGE – ($6.50)

Good pace map with something for everyone in the last where NO CHANGE will be up on the speed. Sprang the gates first-up to gain a comfortable lead before upping the ante to score over 1200m here on resumption. Ran good time from the front before engaging in a two-horse battle up the straight when racing second-up. #WABlackbookers horse Magnificent Andy pulled out enough to defy No Change with a gap back to the rest. That form will keep No Change in good stead for this race as he will likely be attacked early. The quinella pair ran home a fast last 600m that day off the already good early tempo. No Change has since won again over 1600m in a Rtg 72+ and is a tough horse to run down.

Race 4 No. 9 BELGRANO BELLE – ($3.80)

Brad Parnham has given BELGRANO BELLE three peach rides since her return and can do so again on Saturday. Found the gun-run behind the speed when resuming over the 1400m to just miss the winner Cocoon Bay. Failed to fire following a similar run over the trip at Pinjarra when second-up. Belgrano Belle bounced back in a big way as Parnham again hunted rails runs over this track and distance. The mare excelled in the Soft 6 conditions to put five lengths on the field from the 300m. Belgrano Belle would be clear Best Bet while starting much shorter in the market if there were to be any rain around. We can still go on that first-up run on a firm surface behind Cocoon Bay to suggest she’ll be competitive again.

Race 8 No. 9 FLOWER IN THE WIND – ($15)

FLOWER IN THE WIND is a progressive mare who Neville Parnham has quickly stepped out in distance. She put the writing on the wall for a win when racing second-up over 1400m, finishing close to Romancing The Rock. Flower In The Wind was then narrowly got the job done in a midweek over 1500m. She jumped well from an inside gate to relax nicely the fence when fourth-up over 2200m in Saturday grade.  Copped a check and was forced to lose position shortly thereafter. Showed maturity to gather herself and get on with it while being shuffled back off a slow tempo. Flower In The Wind looks better suited here after always being back in a Rating 72+ over 1800m last start.
