Race 1 No. 4 IF I DIN HAVADIME – ($12)
The 2yo’s ran a sharp time comparative of the day with IF I DIN HAVADIME setting a good tempo early. The filly gave a good kick for Holly Watson to look all over a winner into the straight. Race experience is clearly benefiting If I Din Havadime who was overhauled late in the race by A Lot Of Good Men. The winner settled off the speed and came with one run at them into the straight and has also scored again since. If I Din Havadime showed no signs of weakening, with her stride length consistent late whilst continuing a straight line. She left a gap back to the rest in a race that should rate well.

Race 8 No. 8 MY BELLA MAE – ($2.90)
Racingbase pinup filly MY BELLA MAE resumed from a two-month break by beating a small field over 1100m here. She still raced a bit hot, and Dion Luciani has advised that he will parade her with the earmuffs on Saturday. If she ever learns to relax, then lookout – My Bella Mae is one serious racehorse. She took some time to wind up under Paddy Carbery before picking her rivals up within a furlong to cruise to an easy victory. My Bella Mae has shown that she can mix it with the older horses in the Winterbottom prior to her break. The opening holds us back from recommending her as the actual Best Bet against a very good lot. We rate Mae Bella Mae highly here at Racingbase, and are confident that she will make her presence felt again.

Race 6 No. 4 CISCOJOE – ($9)
Bernie Miller has CISCOJOE on track to pick up a metro-grade win on a Saturday. Has shown a steady progression during his three runs this prep without packing that killer punch. He ran an improved race over 1500m in 60+ here under Carbery when third-up last time. Carbery was able to have him a little close with a smother in the packing field. Produced him as the widest not long after straightening with Ciscojoe showing initial dash. Perhaps inclined to think about it in that last 100m while found wanting late. Should be fully fit and gets the winkers on while striking a race with good pressure up front.
