Ascot Tips 11/11/2023

BEST BET 🏆

Race 2 No. 2 THE BOSS LADY – ($3.40)

Michael Lane caused somewhat of an upset when sending his filly THE BOSS LADY to town following her maiden win at Northam. She had hit the line strongly in two career starts before coming to Ascot in what read as a good midweek race on paper. Chris Parnham had The Boss Lady right up behind the leaders from their inside barrier. The pair peeled off their backs into the straight with The Boss Lady going better than anything else on the line. Lane now applies the blinkers to The Boss Lady who can continue to improve with racing.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 7 No. 3 ROPE THEM IN – ($5.50)

Jumping from barrier two may see ROPE THEM IN improve in the Fairetha Stakes for three-year-old’s on Saturday. He settled far more forward than expected first-up in the Belgravia over 1200m here a fortnight ago. The breaks went on from those up in front and Peter Knuckey found himself without cover and with his horse over racing. Rope Them In stuck to task into the straight as the winner Super Smink raced on by with momentum. He wasn’t beaten far and we might see Rope Them In hitting the line better with a smother from the inside draw.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 9 No. 3 ROCKIN’ RUPERT – ($10)

Training duo Sean & Jake Casey are yet to find a win at Ascot for ROCKIN’ RUPERT who has run five placings in his ten starts here. Rockin’ Rupert did travel strongly behind the speed for Laqdar Ramoly before switching back to the fence nearing the furlong. The horse was beaten less than a length by He’sgotwings and subsequent winner Saloon Bar. Rockin’ Rupert did get a long way back after beginning well under Keshaw Dhurun last time. The winner was far too good in a fast race as Rockin’ Rupert raced past the others to run a clear second place. Senior rider Jordan Turner goes on, and Rockin’ Rupert can be right in the finish with even luck from the gate.
