Race 6 No. 1 HELL FOLLOWS- ($2.65)
FLYING BASIL should be hard to beat in Race 6. The five-year-old drops significantly in class and was a BenchMark 64 winner over the 2100m three starts Aho before heading to town and finishing behind some handy gallopers. At his most recent run, he led them up in the $250,000 VOBIS Gold Heath (2100m) before battling into 7th behind El Patroness. This is easier and the 3kg claimer, Rosie Hammond, just needs to negotiate the wide barrier.
NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN)
Race 2 No 6 VILLAA SEVENTYNINE- ($4.60)
Nice last start effort by VILLAA SEVENTYNINE to finish 3rd at Pakenham on April 20 and the Wendy Kelly-trained galloper can go a couple of spots here. The three-year-old didn’t do too much at his first couple of starts but showed improvement with the tongue tie on to work home strongly behind Kusini over the 1200m. There are a few unknowns in this race with some first starters but early market support suggests this is within his grasp.
