Race 7 No. 6 HILLCREST MOSES ($3.40)
HILLCREST MOSES just needs to overcome the wide barrier to be a major player in Race 6. The Matt Laurie-trained galloper has been consistent without winning at his current preparation, placing in his first three before getting back at Kilmore and running on for 4th over the 1212m on November 3. He closed off with the fastest last 600m to go 3.8 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is the best last start figure of any runner. The seven-year-old will get back from the barrier but there looks to be enough speed in this race to set things up nicely.

Race 8 No. 3 HOTZINO- ($4.40)
This looks to be a suitable assignment for HOTZINO to kick off her summer campaign. The Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr-trained galloper has had just the two career runs for a debut win at Pakenham over the 1600m back in May before battling over the 1720m at Geelong. The daughter of Tarzino was put away after that and resumes in easier company. Early market support suggests this is within her grasp and she should enjoy a nice run from barrier 5 with Thomas Stockade to ride.
