Keen on HAALAND in Race 5. The Robert Hickmott-trained galloper has had just the three career starts and his best performance came on the Synthetic over the 2100m on May 29 when a narrow runner-up behind One Last Kiss. That came when fresh and the son of Pentire sustained a long run before just missing out at the business end, putting a gap on the rest. The four-year-old has since missed out at Seymour but hard to ignore his previous run on the surface, while he has attracted early market support.

Race 8 No 8 PHILOSOPHERS STONE- ($5.50)
PHILOSOPHERS STONE can go one spot better than a last start effort that saw him finish runner-up at the track and trip on May 26. The Tony & Calvin McEvoy-trained galloper led that day before going down in the shadows of the post behind Penegra. He went two lengths slower than standard benchmark figures last time, which are the best last start figures of any runner and might have improvement to come at his third run from a spell. Look for the four-year-old to take some running down.
