BEST BET 🏆

Race 3:  No.7  HIT ‘EM UP  ($2.30 with bet365)

The Adam Campton-trained HIT ‘EM UP is flying high of late and looks well placed in this contest today. Last start, the Mikki Isle gelding broke through for his first win in a BM0-55 over the mile on the synthetic track at the Gold Coast. Leading all the way, he produced a strong finishing burst which saw him cross the line 3.5 lengths ahead of the field, eased down at the finish. The three-year-old has had five different riders in his six-start to career to date and today it becomes six, with Brazilian-born Elione Chaves taking the reins for this assignment. The three-year-old steps-up in distance today but showed last start that it shouldn’t be a problem. Jumping from gate two today, he maps to settle on-speed and should prove hard to run down again.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 2:  No.1  INTOXEL  ($5.50 with Bet Right)

Grafton galloper, INTOXEL, is in great touch of late, finishing top-four in her past seven starts and looks poised to add to that tally today. Last start, the Jabali mare tried to lead all the way but found one better on the day, taking home second prize in a BM58 over 1175m on her home track. Today, she jumps from gate four and maps to be at least near the speed with 2kg claiming apprentice, Courtney Bellamy on board as the new pilot. She carries 2.5kgs less today and with a trouble-free run here, looks a strong chance to claim the major prize.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 7:  No.11  GREGARIOUS  ($11.20 with BoomBet)

Another from the Adam Campton stable is GREGARIOUS who lines up here a last-start winner and looks poised to repeat the dose at great odds today. The Akeed Mofeed gelding was fourth-up at Beaudesert where he finally broke through for his maiden win over 1100m that day. He came from back in the field and arrived just in time to grab victory right on the line. Kyle Wilson-Taylor returns for the ride today where the three-year-old draws to do no early work in gate two and maps to settle back in the field again. The extra trip today looks ideal for his racing style and given a clear run to the line, he should be finishing strongly again and will give contest a real shake. An each-way ticket looks the go here.
