Trained at Dubbo by Brett Robb, DIN is in top-shelf form this time in and ticks enough boxes here to suggest she is right in the mix for back-to-back wins today. Last start, the Xtravagant mare was fourth-up and fighting fit when she hammered her rivals to finally break through for her maiden win on her home track. With Clay Gallagher on board, she sat the leader’s girth to the turn, then, (like all good $1.35 favourites should), she did a road runner and simply left the rest behind to fight out the minors as she crossed the line five lengths in front of them. Not surprisingly, she ran the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. She gets the gun-run from gate one today and in her current form, she will prove a hard nut to crack in this contest.

Local galloper HOT EXTRACTION has been knocking on the door for a win of late and gets another shot at it here today. Last start, the Pariah gelding made it two-straight podium finishes when he finished third in a 1000m Maiden Hcp at Dubbo. Crowded for room down the home straight, he squeezed through to grab the last spot on the podium in a three-horse battle across the line. Nick Heywood finished second on him two starts back and returns here for this assignment. Rock-hard fit with six starts under his belt now, can it be third-time lucky on his home track today ?

Race 4:  No.5  HAMMOON MONEY  ($3.20 with Ladbrokes) 

Dubbo-based HAMMOON MONEY looks a promising type and second-up here can go back-to-back today. Last start, the Stratum Star mare was fresh off a 19-week break when she led from barrier to box in a Class 1 Hcp over 1200m on her home track. On fresh legs, she did well to hold off all the challengers and will only strip fitter here. Clay Gallagher has steered the mare to both career-wins to date and sticks with her today. Ideally drawn in gate two, she maps to be on-speed and if left alone, she can repeat what she did last start and steal it again.
