BEST BET 🏆   

Race 1 No. 5 YALLINGUP GIRL – ($2.20)

The market tends to like horses who produce a good first-up run after going for a break on a winning note. These types of horses prove particularly popular when trained out of one of the top stables. This is the formula we get in the Neville Parnham trained YALLINGUP GIRL who chased Pro Latte home over this track and distance when resuming. Those two were the popular elects in the market with Pro Latte controlling the tempo of the race. That mare slipped away on straightening to open a winning break while Yallingup Girl held all else for second. Parnham had tipped Yallingup Girl out following her breakthrough maiden win, again over this track and trip. Yallingup Girl shouldn’t have taken much harm after having the run of the race while resuming and will be fitter for the run.

Race 4 No. 3 KINGS CALL – ($4.40)

Chris Parnham goes to KINGS CALL who has been okay while racing between horses in his two career runs to date. Jarrad Noske had Kings Call travelling comfortably from around midfield over 1200 metres on the Scarpside where the horse gained valuable experience on debut. Kings Call improved second-up when trainer Danny Marton sent him out over 1400 metres at Ascot. He was again forced to race in restricted room before Noske found clear air on him inside the furlong. Kings Call hit the line strongly when clear to finish third and less than two lengths off the winner. Hopefully Parnham can find a spot closer from the inside gate, and Kings Call is sure to race strongly through the line over 1300 metres on Wednesday.

Race 6 No. 2 VILLAGE GIRL – ($6)

Lucy Fiore gave VILLAGE GIRL a beautiful run just in behind the speed when she raced first-up over 1000 metres at Bunbury. Sky Duke gave a strong kick into the straight after rolling along at a good tempo to score. Village Girl held her own to the line as she filled a minor placing. We backed the pair when they teamed-up again as our Value Bet second-up over 1200 metres on the Scarpside. The field ran along again with Village Girl getting back to beyond midfield before finding trouble on turning. As racing would have it, our each-way bet ran fourth while a touch of luck may have seen her into the placings. Comes out of a very strong race behind Stormy Tawny and Village Girl is suited here with the claim fourth-up under Madi Derrick.
