Race 2 No. 2 EMPRESS OF INDIA – ($3.80)

Gun apprentice Luke Campbell can give EMPRESS OF INDIA the run of the race first-up from an ideal gate. The mare had trialled aplomb leading into her first-up run last time in. That was enough to have us here at Racingbase suggesting Empress Of India as one of our bets of the day. The speedy Rupert’s Empire led unchallenged and managed to cling on as Empress Of India put in a last-stride lunge to run second. Dion Luciani has brought her straight to the races without a public trial this time in, and we would expect the best of Empress Of India to be more than up to her rivals on Wednesday.

Race 5 No. 10 SECRET ATTRACTION – ($4.20)

The mile looks perfect for SECRET ATTRACTION following a pleasing run over the seven-furlongs at Bunbury when resuming. William Pike had her in a midfield position early while following the eventual winner Fast Flicka. The winner came back to the inside section to drive through and win as the early leaders began to tire. Secret Attraction seemed to take an age to wind-up as Pike pulled her out into clear running into the straight. She really got into her work late as she just missed in a photo for second. Secret  Attraction will continue to improve as she gets out to further, and she should be hard to hold-out on Wednesday.

Race 7 No. 8 BANDALERA BEAU – ($11.25)

Track and distance winner BANDALERA BEAU can upset a few of these in the last at Belmont Racecourse on Wednesday. Ran a big race when resuming over this trip at Ascot last prep. Bandalera Beau found himself out in the cheap seats with Steve Parnham coming back in order to get in from the draw. This was a good field with Market Stryke leading into the straight. Bandalera Beau could not match the turn of foot shown by Find Your Man who finished best to score. Parnham still managed to get plenty out of his mount as Bandalera Beau pegged back Market Stryke with Lil’ Red Bikini tipping him out for second.
