BEST BET 🏆
Race 1 No. 6 TOO DARDY – ($5.50)
Shaun O’Donnell rode TOO DARDY during an impressive trial win recently for Bullsbrook trainer Justine Erkelens. Too Dardy had also trialled well prior to his debut run last prep before running second over 1200 metres here. Form out of that maiden has been strong since with the winner Le Dette remaining consistent while the third placed Sizzle Me Patrick won at his next start. Too Dardy followed up with a win in sharp time with the runner-up again racing well and the third placed horse supportive going on to win her next two starts. There should be some pressure on and race experience should play into the hands of Too Dardy in the heavy conditions.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 8 No. 3 CENTRAL FORCE – ($2.40)
The adage of Pike in the last will prove a popular bet amongst punters at Belmont Racecourse on Wednesday. He rides last start winner CENTRAL FORCE for Banjup trainer Michael Grantham with the horse racing consistently this prep. He broke through for another win whilst racing fourth up over the mile at Northam last start. Brayden Gaerth utilised his claim to full effect as he stalked Pike on the leader Visions Of Grace. Pike’s mount stole a march into the straight with Central Force knuckling down to task. Central Force proved too strong late while those horses came away from the others. There should be more pressure involved here and we’ll look for Central Force to find some cover before hitting the line hard.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 4 No. 14 AYUMI – ($10)
Ascot trainer Trevor Andrews appears a little stiff with seeing AYUMI come up as the bottom emergency. Michael Poy has given her two plumb rides with Ayumi the beneficiary of his skillset in both. She tried to come on with Eliteone when racing in town on debut. While the other horse was too sharp in running down Sass Machine, Ayumi finished a close-up third. She followed this run with another third placing in town, this time trying to close out as the widest as Sass Machine controlled the tempo. Andrews does have Ayumi nominated on Saturday for a race over 1400 metres. We do suspect that he would prefer to gain a start here with Ayumi who has drawn for an ideal run in transit.
