BEST BET 🏆
Race 6 No. 4 RECALLED ($4.40)
Clint Johnson-Porter takes the ride aboard RECALLED who has drawn a barrier while he stays out to a trip. Caught the eye late when coming on from a long way back to tip out Ground Breaker for second behind Queen Of Jerusalem. He carried a similar weight that day on a heavy track while rising to 2100m from a mile. Ground Breaker stole too big a break from his good draw over Recalled last time out in a muddling run race on a much firmer surface. CJP will be mindful of the early tempo up front as navigates Recalled into the race from a far kinder barrier draw on Wednesday. The horse handles all kinds of conditions and Recalled will be sure to be finishing off strongly.

Race 4 No. 6 TREASURED QUEEN ($4.20)
William Pike scored a good win aboard TREASURED QUEEN as the mare broke her maiden first-up over 1000 metres at Northam. He had settled back towards midfield before rounding them up into the straight. Pike did perhaps hit the front a little too soon with Treasured Queen who withstood the late challenge of subsequent winner Storm Leader. Trainer Michael Grantham then sent his mare out over 1300 metres with Pike again affording the mare a lovely run in transit. They were definitely left out in front a little too early this time as Treasured Queen found no answers for the late onslaught of Cruise To Victory and Dun With The Blues. Since kept ticking over with a solid run over 1000 metres behind King’s Flirt with the race strength out of all three runs looking solid for this.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 1 No. 7 HOW PRETTY ($19)
Didn’t mind the debut run of HOW PRETTY who appears to be facing a step-in grade following her fourth placing in a maiden at Northam. How Pretty hadn’t impressed with her trials prior yet caught the eye at Northam. She missed the kick badly that day which is not a trait shown during her public trials. Jade McNaught was able to build her into the race and How Pretty did catch the eye behind Native Flower over 1000 metres. Twain’s Angel will jump as race favourite on Wednesday with market support expected for both Masamune and Insyde Success. We believe that trio may roll forward to inject some early pressure to allow Michael Poy to get over the top of them late on How Pretty.
