Race 4 No. 7 BREAD TO FLIRT ($3.80)

We will keep sticking with BREAD TO FLIRT who has proven a handy horse for us to follow here at Racingbase WA. Bread To Flirt bounced back to winning form when racing over 1200 metres in a strong midweek race. She landed at a good price for us that day in beating Becalotti who has since beaten another subsequent city winner in Invincible Ruby. The form around that race is strong and we chose to stick with our mare last start in Saturday grade. Bread To Flirt did not have the best of luck when trying to obtain clear running into the straight, though her third placing probably would not have been altered either. Comes back in class on those two runs and looks mighty hard to beat again on Wednesday.

Race 7 No. 2 CHANGING GUARD ($3.70)

We’re finally sold on CHANGING GUARD who is chasing a Hatrick of wins at Belmont Racecourse on Wednesday. We let him go first-up over 1000m on a heavy track with a view to watch until he gets out over further. The market agreed, sending Changing Guard out to a drifting double-figure price. He showed us all up that day thanks to a positive ride from Chris Parnham. Clint Johnson-Porter found himself in the saddle second-up with Changing Guard racing over 1200m. The race heading suggested a CL3 yet in reality the event raced as a CL2. That said, there was plenty of depth going into the race at that level. CJP let the speed go early before bringing Changing Guard with a powerful run to score with the step-up 1400m now looking ideal.

Race 1 No. 2 CELESTIAL FOX ($6)

Ascot trainer Dion Luciani prepared CELESTIAL FOX for a first-up tilt over this track and trip off the back of 400m jumpout. Celestial Fox showed speed to land that jumpout win before burning through to lead when resuming. The filly only knocked-up late to run fourth to take plenty of benefit from the run. She relaxed behind the speed with that freshness off and the blinkers going on with Holly Watson taking the shortcut home into the straight. Celestial Fox won with plenty of authority that day and has drawn to find a similar run for Watson again.
