Bullsbrook trainer Ray Vincent will be searching for two straight wins with ROYAL SPLENDOUR on Wednesday. Holly Watson found a beautiful run outside the leader as Royal Splendour put her maiden field away at Northam last start. The mare was racing third-up over 1400 metres to run strongly through the line under Watson. The pair will be looking for a similar run at Belmont with the step-up in trip seemingly ideal.

Race 9 No. 12 FAST FLICKER ($4.60)
Relative newcomer to the training ranks Tony Triscari can land his first Belmont Racecourse winner with FAST FLICKER on Wednesday. His mare was an impressive winner when racing on debut at Esperance last prep. She stepped slowly out of the gates before moving with above average ability around the field on turning. Fast Flicker did enough to keep going to score without knowing how to put that field away. Stepped slowly again when racing first-up in town earlier this month. Fast Flicker kept coming to miss out on a placing over 1000 metres behind Paddy’s Flyin’ and Ruler Rocket. Racing as though the 1200 metres should suit and can be dangerous if she steps with them.

Race 11 No. 6 RECALLED ($6)
Clint Johnson-Porter takes the ride aboard RECALLED who has drawn a barrier while he stays out to a trip. Caught the eye late when coming on from a long way back to tip out Ground Breaker for second behind Queen Of Jerusalem. He carried a similar weight that day on a heavy track while rising to 2100m from a mile. Ground Breaker stole too big a break over Recalled when the pair met again since in a muddling run race on a firm surface. Chris Parnham will be mindful of the early tempo up front as he navigates Recalled into the race from a far kinder barrier draw on Wednesday. The horse handles all kinds of conditions and Recalled will be sure to be finishing off strongly.
