Race 2 No. 4 PREMIUM CHOICE – ($4.25)
We were keen on the chances of PREMIUM CHOICE at Belmont after his forward showing first-up behind Gemma’s Son and Ghost Who Walks. We had also hoped that he may be able to settle one-off the fence with a cart into the race. Owing to the formation of the field, Joseph Azzopardi had little option except to get back further than he would have liked. His horse was trucking from a long way out and he still just had to cuddle with nothing taking him into the race. Premium Choice rounded for home as the widest runner to hit the line for second place behind all-the-way winner Olga Louisa. There should be pace and pressure aplenty here which should suit Premium Choice in his bid to get back into the winner’s stall.

Race 1 No. 4 MISS DRAKOVA – ($4.45)
Punters warmed towards MISS DRAKOVA second-up in an open betting race over 1000 metres at Belmont Racecourse. Brad Parnham had settled her back off their wide gate before gradually building into the race off the even tempo. They were only beaten by sheer ride of the day from Holly Watson who rode the percentages to perfection aboard Songaa. That horse had taken the gap back to the inside of Miss Drakova who pinged the ears back to have a real crack down to the line. They got home in smart time with Miss Drakova accounting for the rest. Will strip fitter again following her last-start second over 1200 metres to fellow #WABlackbookers horse Duchess Of Gossip.

Race 7 No. 1 HINT OF MINT ($11.20)
We’re clearly missing something here with the early market taking a set against HINT OF MINT. The Neville Parnham trained mare is shooting for a hat trick of wins with nowhere left to go except for Saturday class. Parnham has put on a display of placement for Hint Of Mint and this race seems the perfect progression for her. Brad Parnham has given her a treat off some ideal gates to follow the speed and score. This race sets up for more of the same from the team as Hint Of Mint sets out to add a Saturday win onto her CV this prep.
