Race 4 No. 1 GO GO GROMMET – ($3.30)
The Tiarnna Robertson trained GO GO GROMMET impressed at the trials before going on to score on debut at Pinjarra. Her horse then seemed to brush with the starting gates as he jumped a clear last of the small field at Ascot. Go Go Grommet was able to maintain close contact in the five horse field and was unable to run down Snippenova in a close finish. Since sent back to the trials before having a barrier blanket applied last start. Go Go Grommet again came out a conspicuous last before using his natural speed to race into a handy position. He was racing against a strong field where the winner Berbere and second horse Too Dardy have since come out and run the quinella in town. The third placed runner Comic Hero also came out to break his maiden at his next start.

Race 7 No. 8 DIAMOND COMMAND – ($6)
Ascot trainer Neville Parnham got the prep underway for DIAMOND COMMAND by having his filly resume over 1400 metres at home. Diamond Command found herself a long way back early in the slowly run race. Parnham then brought her back to 1200 metres second-up where she really hit the line late. Diamond Command was similar throughout when staying to 1200 metres and following the speed last start. She didn’t have the turn of foot a few others displayed and might be better suited here over the seven furlongs.

Race 5 No. 7 RUNFORROB – ($8)
Impressive trial winner RUNFORROB is set to resume at Belmont Racecourse on Wednesday. Michael Grantham gave him a similar trial at Lark Hill last prep before unleashing Runforrob over 1200 metres at Pinjarra on debut. The powerful gelding raced to a clear early lead and never gave anything else a chance. Carried the 60kg at his next start in a class one where he followed the speed to go down by less than two lengths to Boots Like Bruce. Grantham then tipped him out after his next start where Runforrob never threatened after being taken back from a wide gate. Runforrob looks to have grown further following his spell and will get a nice run on the speed for Clint Johnston-Porter.
