BEST BET 🏆   

Race 6 No. 9 TYCOON LAD ($4) 

TYCOON LAD can go a couple of spots better than a debut effort that saw him finish 3rd behind Vonk at Pakenham on November 10. The Busuttin/Young galloper was well beaten that night in a meeting that saw the leaders dominate in bizarre circumstances. Two horses from that race have since gone on to win and he does come in with the best last start benchmark figures of any runner. The son of Written Tycoon gets the blinkers and can box seat or lead from the inside barrier.

Race 8 No. 6 LUCKY PRIZE – ($5) 

LUCKY PRIZE can go close in Race 8. The four-year-old was a dominant winner two starts ago in Maiden grade at Echuca before heading to Moonee Valley and sticking on strong over the 955m in a BenchMark 70 behind Berry Bubbly. He drops in grade for this and just needs to run up to recent efforts to be a major player.

Race 4 No. 7 AUTUMN SLIDE- ($7.50) 

AUTUMN SLIDE can break through in Race 4. The Simon Zahra-trained galloper has had the two career starts and was solid late on debut at Benalla before placing 3rd at Donald over the 1350m on November 19. In the Donald race, she drew wide in the 11-horse field before settling back and running on strongly, producing the fastest last 200m to place 3rd. The 4th runner-up out of that has since gone on to score at Warrnambool. She draws barrier 4 this time around and will be ridden by Damian Lane. 

BEST VALUE 💰   

Race 10 No. 10 CZARACER- ($31) 

Going with CZARACER at a bit of a price in Race 10. The Jason Warren-trained filly didn’t do much when resuming with a last placing out of the six runners at Sandown on November 22 over the 1200m but was a big improver on benchmark figures at the second start of her last campaign when placing at Sandown before winning at Geelong over the 1400m after that. She comes back to a country level and is worth a bit of thought at the odds.
