Race 5 No. 2 FIELD OF PRAISE- ($7.50)
This looks to be a suitable assignment for FIELD OF PRAISE. The Ben & JD Hayes-trained filly was thrown into the deep end at her first run back, taking on a Saturday race at Caulfield over the 1200m. She settled handy and hit the lead at the 250m mark before puncturing towards the end, finishing 5th behind Va Via. The daughter of Deep Field drops sharply in grade and at her second run of her previous preparation she was a five length improver on benchmark figures when taking out a BM64 at Sandown ahead of Unusual Culture, who has gone on to some bigger and better things over the past month or so. Field Of Praise draws perfectly in barrier 4 for this.

Race 4 No 13 SNIPASTAR ($7)
SNIPASTAR can just about break the Maiden when she steps out in Race 4. The seven-year-old was late to make her debut and has placed in three of her eight career starts. She was last tried at Sandown on July 5 over the 1200m and settled handy in the run before sticking on for 5th on Heavy going behind Refreshing. This looks much easier and should be ready to fire at her third run this time in.
