BEST BET 🏆

Race 2 No. 6 HELLO LADIES – ($3.20)

Caitlin Tootell can get another win for the Cahill camp as she partners HELLO LADIES at Bordertown on Sunday. She’ll likely get back a little with Hello Ladies in a race that could be run in pairs. Samuel Payne will allow All Clubs to stride along in front and we’ll hope there’s a few others wanting to apply some pressure. Caitlin might end up being pushed back to the fence and there’s a few she could potentially follow into the run. Nice long straight at Bordertown will suit Hello Ladies who is a track and distance winner from last prep. Cahill finds an easier assignment after bringing him back from town where he finished close-up to Shirshov last start.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 6 No. 13 SIRMAZE – ($8.50)

Grant Young has gained a start with the first emergency SIRMAZE who is coming off a last-start second at Strathalbyn. Stacey Callow found herself stuck deep throughout after drawing out there. The pace came into the race in the form of a tearaway leader which helped to string the field out. Callow continued to edge her mount into the race, striking the lead shortly after straightening. Sirmaze appeared set for victory and may have thrown his chances by wanting to lay-in badly inside the 100m. Comfort Girl gobbled them up from out wide with Sirmaze accounting for the others. The experience of Price is a plus while Sirmaze is drawn closer to the middle and can make his presence felt again.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 1 No. 7 MASTER OF ZERPRISE – ($10)

The opener looks a very even affair with the top weight Frankel Star coming out overnight. Brawl, conversely, was scratched from the same race at Murray Bridge as Horsham trainer Paul Preusker prepares to take him across the border as his only runner for the day. He’ll likely go off favourite and will be hard to beat. Thought the price about recent Naracoorte Cup winner MASTER OF ZERPRISE makes him the Value play of the day. Given a beautiful steer from senior rider Harry Grace, Master Of Zerprise came with a barnstorming run to claim them late. Meets a similar field again with Zoe Lloyd claiming below the minimum.
