BEST BET 🏆

Race 4:  No.6  DAKOTA VROOM  ($3.90 with Neds)

The Chris Waller-trained DAKOTA VROOM is second-up today and looks well placed for back-to-back victories here. Last start, the I Am Invincible filly resumed off a lengthy five-month break and showing no lack of fitness, easily accounted for a BM64 Hcp over 1100m at Warwick Farm. She is just two starts into her racing career and after putting 1.5 lengths on them in that win, the step-up to the 1250m here looks to pose no problems for her. Fitter for that first-up win, she looks the testing material here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 6:  No.4  MISS KOJIKI  ($6.10 with BoomBet)

Muswellbrook galloper MISS KOJIKI is fresh off a 10-week let-up here and ticking all the boxes today, lines-up as a genuine winning chance in this contest. Last start, the Real Impact mare wasn’t on her game as she ended her last preparation finishing unplaced in a BM72 Midway Hcp over 1100m at Hawkesbury. Prior to that, she was a close-up third in another BM72 contest over the same trip at Warwick Farm. Boasting a strong fresh record, the mare is already a winner when first-up and is one from one at the track and distance as well. Madeline Owen takes the reins again after having success with the five-year-old previously. A trouble-free run today could see her fighting out the finish.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 7:  No.7  MALABAR  ($10 with BlueBet)

Annabel Neasham saddles-up MALABAR here who has improved since resuming and looks well placed here for a crack at back-to-back victories today. Last start, the Dissident gelding came off a close-up fourth at Newcastle when fitter for four runs back, he found his mojo and beat home a BM64 field over the mile at Hawkesbury. He came from back in the field that day to win by half a length on the line, after jumping from the outside gate (10) and carrying 60kgs as well. He drops 3kgs from that effort here and is ideally drawn to do no early work from gate four. The in-form Dylan Gibbons has his first ride on the three-year-old today and with a clear run to the line again, he looks a real chance here at great odds.
