The final race of the day is a CHAMPAGNE WITNESS (12) can go on with the job after finally claiming her Maiden on October 8. That came at the rack and trip and she was too strong for Shriyaa in the concluding stages with those two putting a nine-length gap on the rest. That was the second run of her current preparation and she should have improvement to come stepping up to this grade.

Race 5 No. 5 DAY IN HEAVEN– ($5)
DAY IN HEAVEN can go close after a debut effort that saw him run 4th at Geelong on September 29. That came over the 1347m and she was posted three wide and without cover before the tough run told in the end. She should take improvement off that run and went 0.2 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is more than six lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner.

Race 7 No. 8 WICKLOW LASS- ($6.50)
This looks to be a suitable assignment for WICKLOW LASS. The Tom Dabernig-trained galloper battled when resuming at Sandown before tacking a Saturday race at Morphettville on October 1, finishing 5th behind Rockstar Meggsy. She drops in grade for this assignment and will be out to recapture the form that saw her win on debut ahead of La Danseuse Rouge. Harry Coffey rides and can box seat from barrier 2.
