Race 2 No. 6 O’CALDINO- ($3.20) 

This looks to be a winnable assignment for O’CALDINO. The Maher/Eustace galloper has had just the two career starts and did a couple of things wrong at Sale when making his debut before producing an eye-catcher last time at Moonee Valley when running on to fill the exacta behind Grand Touraine over the 1600m. The son of Dundeel went 2.6 lengths faster than standard benchmark in that race, which is nearly eight lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner.

Race 8 No. 8 ZOUTHUR- ($6.10) 

ZOUTHUR should be hard to beat in final race of the day. The Maher/Eustace galloper resumed in a slowly run race at Ballarat on November 23 and was keen early before working home well to fill the exacta behind Imapagethreegirl. Second up at his last preparation, the son of Zoustar was a big improver on benchmark figures when going from a 5th at Traralgon to a win at Sandown. He then performed well behind She Dances at Flemington. 

BEST VALUE 💰   

Race 3 No. 8 MISS CARDANNIC- ($9.10) 

MISS CARDANNIC can go a couple of spots better than a debut effort that saw her finish 3rd at Sandown on November 29 over the 1200m. The Jerome Hunter filly settled towards the tail that day and was held up in the straight before running on to go three lengths faster than standard benchmark. The daughter of Street Boss can box seat from barrier 2 for this assignment and will be ridden by Daniel Stackhouse.
