LADY OF SAVOY can shake the bridesmaid tag in Race 3. The Matt Laurie-trained galloper has finished runner-up in three of her five starts with all of those three coming at at he current preparation. She was posted wide without cover at Moonee Valley over the 1200m on December 1 and narrowly missed behind New Hampshire. The daughter of Tivaci has produced standard benchmark figures at her past two, which compares very well to her rivals in this race.

Race 5 No. 1  SIMEON- ($2.40) 

SIMEON has been building up to a win in recent times and can go one spot better that a last start effort that saw him finish runner-up at Moonee Valley over the 1600m. That came earlier this month and he led them up but could not hold out Foolproof, filling the exacta behind that horse. The four-year-old comes into this at his fourth run and just needs to run up to or slightly improve on recent efforts.
