Race 4 No. 11 NEFERURE- ($2.60) 

This looks to be a suitable assignment for NEFERURE. The Maher/Eustace galloper has had the two career starts, running on from well back for 6th at Donald over the 1350m in what has turned out to be a solid form race before heading to Moonee Valley on December 8 and running 3rd over the 1600m behind Universally. She seemed to enjoy the step up to the 1600m that night and improved to go three lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is the best last start figure of any runner and the second best that any horse in this race has produced. Improvement to come at her third start and with Luke Currie in the saddle, she can get the job done.

Race 5 No. 6  FLYING MEAN-  ($3.55) 

JUMPIN’ JAGUAR shapes as a solid player in Race 5. The six-year-old comes into this full of fitness and has placed in three of her past four. She probably needed the run when jumping from the 2000m to this trip at Cranbourne three starts ago when running on for 4th and has since placed at Moonee Valley at her last couple. The Kelvin Bourke-trained galloper was well beaten over the 3000m last time but had an excuse, pulling up slightly lame. She drops back to BenchMark 64 level for this and should be ready.
