BEST BET 🏆

Race 6:  No.2  KNIGHT’S CHOICE  ($3.20 with Palmerbet)

Sunshine Coast visitor, KNIGHT’S CHOICE, is in top-shelf form and looks all set here to bring up the hat-trick today. Last start, the Extreme Choice gelding franked his win two starts back when he clobbered his rivals in a BM65 Hcp over 1600m on his home track. He found another gear over the last 200m and crossed the line more than three lengths clear of the 11-strong field. He faces similar company here and after the claim, carries a reasonable weight into this contest. Rock-hard fit after five starts now, he should prove hard to hold out here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 5:  No.2  KRONENBOURG  ($4.60 with bet365)

The Tony Gollan-trained KRONENBOURG has had a mixed bag of luck this time in but here, he looks well placed to record his second career-win today. Last start, the Vadamos gelding settled back in the field and did well to finish fourth in a Class 1 Hcp over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast. Dropping back 400m from his previous start wouldn’t have helped him that day where James Orman had his first ride on the four-year-old. Stepping back up in distance again, the mile trip just might suit him here as Orman sticks with him today. He won his maiden here when first-up last preparation and ideally drawn in gate two, he should enjoy a dream-run from there and looks every chance of victory here.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 9:  No.10  O’MISS BEHAVING  ($6.50 with bet365)

Robert Heathcote saddles-up O’MISS BEHAVING here who has finished on the podium in her past three starts and looks well placed here to make it four-straight today. Last start, the Hidden Dragon mare made it win number two this preparation when she cruised to victory in a Class 2 Hcp over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast. Ridden a treat by Ben Thompson, he had her settled in the one, one that day and on straightening, she simply looked the winner from there and that proved to be the case as she strolled away to win by two lengths on the line. Thompson has been aboard for the mare’s past three starts now and is yet to miss a podium finish as he sticks with her for this assignment. At the top of her game now, she looks great value in this contest.
