Race 6: No.7 VODKA MARTINI ($2.80 with Ladbrokes)
The Kelly Schweida-trained VODKA MARTINI is third-up here and yet to miss a podium finish in six career starts which doesn’t look like changing here. Last start, the Agitate gelding stepped up in distance and couldn’t hold off one better on the day, taking home second prize in a Three-Year-Old Hcp over the longer 1200m trip. He did finish almost four lengths ahead of the rest. Back to 1050m here, he is already a winner when third-up and finished runner-up at his only previous start at the track. Ideally drawn in gate three, he will take beating here.

Race 3: No.7 ATLANTIC EAGLE ($3.65 with BoomBet)
Sunshine Coast galloper ATLANTIC EAGLE is in great touch this preparation bagging three wins since resuming and looks the one to beat again here. Last start, the Atlante mare stepped-up in distance and made it look easy as she took out the BM72 Hcp, here over the 2000m trip. She covers the same trip here but steps-up in grade which sees her drop 4.5kgs for the event. Luke Tarrant has been aboard for her past two runs and sticks with her again. The winkers come off for the first time and now a track and distance winner, she looks well placed for back-to-back wins in this contest.

Race 9: No.9 RELEASE THE BEANS ($6 with Bet Right)
Robert Heathcote saddles-up RELEASE THE BEANS here who is third-up and well placed to take this contest out. Last start, the Spill The Beans gelding came from well back on the turn to finish just behind the placegetters in a BM78, here over 1200m. Drawn very wide that day (11 of 12), he settled back in the field and gave them too much start, beaten just over two lengths in the event. He steps up to the 1350m here where he is already a winner at this track. Also a winner when third-up previously, fitter for two runs back, he should be there at finish.
