BEST BET 🏆
Race 9: No.7 LOST IN TRANSIT ($3.20 with bet365)
Stuart Kendrick saddles-up LOST IN TRANSIT here who ticks all the boxes and looks the best of the day. Last start, the Spieth gelding made it five wins from just nine starts when he proved too strong in a NMW Hcp, here over 1200m. with Ryan Maloney aboard. That made it three wins and an unlucky second from his four starts this time in. Maloney sticks with him here as he gets the gun-run from gate one. Its all laid out at his feet here and he will have to do a lot wrong to miss the money in this contest.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 4: No.3 BONDED AFFAIR ($4.05 with BoomBet)
The Stuart Kendrick-trained BONDED AFFAIR is high-flying after three starts and looks right in this contest. Last start, the Nicconi gelding came off consecutive runner-up finishes when he went one better at Ipswich and destroyed his opposition in a 1350m Maiden Plate, putting three lengths on them over the line. Ben Thompson retains the ride here and if the three-year-old brings that A-Grade game here, he should prove very hard to beat.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 5: No.9 TOO HARD TO REFUSE ($8.50 with Ladbrokes)
The Desleigh Forster-trained TOO HARD TO REFUSE is in top-shelf form of late winning three of his past four starts and looks nicely placed here to ring-up another one. Last start, the Heroic Valour gelding showed them a clean pair of heels as he led from barrier to box in a BM70 Hcp over 1350m at Ipswich. Kirk Matheson was aboard for that ride and has now steered the four-year-old to three wins from his five rides to date. He stays in the saddle for this contest and from gate five, maps to lead them again. At his peak after five starts in, he will take beating again in this contest at odds.
