BEST BET 🏆
Race 2: No.3 MANHOOD ($5 with Neds)
Annabel Neasham saddles-up MANHOOD here and he looks every chance of keeping his unbeaten record at the Farm intact. Last start, the Headwater gelding made it to the podium again when he took out a BM78 Hcp, here over 1200m. Third-up that day, he came from back in the field to secure victory by a length on the line. He the trip out, 4 lengths quicker than benchmark, second-best here by half a length behind Antino who draws the car park (in gate 15 of 16) and has 3kgs more on his back in this contest. Leading rider Ryan Maloney is in charge here and from gate three, should secure a clear passage to the line and prove hard to hold out.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 8: No.11 THINK ABOUT IT ($5.50 with Bet Right)
The Joe Pride-trained THINK ABOUT IT lines-up here winning his past five-straight and looks the testing material in this Group 1 affair. Last start, the So You Think gelding came off a 10-week spell and simply picked-up where he left off, recording win number seven (from an eight-start career to date), taking out the Listed Takeover Target Stakes (1200m) at Gosford. That win made it five from five for Sam Clipperton who makes the trip north to be on board again for this event. This is the four-year-old’s first look at Eagle Farm but his picket-fence resume suggests that as he has already won on six different tracks so far, another debut performance shouldn’t be too big a problem.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 1: No.12 KINETIC ($5.50 with Ladbrokes)
The Tony Gollan-trained KINETIC is shooting for the hat-trick here and at the weights, looks a strong chance of pulling it off. Last start, the I Am Invincible mare made it back-to-back wins when she took out a BM68 Hcp, here over the mile trip. She settled behind the pace that day and finished too strong for them in the end. She is up in grade today but does drop 2.5kgs accordingly. Ben Thompson has a glowing record with the four-year-old, boasting two wins and as many runner-up finishes from his four rides to date and is in charge again. Ideally drawn in gate four, she should play a role in the finish here.
