Race 8:  No.10  ZATTASTAR  ($5.75 with Picklebet)

The Jack Bruce-trained ZATTASTAR is in career-best form this time in and ticks enough boxes to suggest she can claim win number four today. Last start, the Zoustar mare missed her first top-three finish in five starts when she had to settle for fourth place in a BM58 over 1310m at Lismore. The Heavy 8 conditions cost her that day as she finished just 1.5 lengths from the winner. With an improving track today, conditions look much better here and she gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to settle better than mid-field, with cover. Jake Bayliss returns for today’s assignment and his resume shows he is two from two with mare. Down 3kgs on her last run, she looks right in the mix here today.

Race 7:  No.13  SNITZAROO  ($5.50 with Ladbrokes)

Warwick Farm trainer, Greg Hickman comes north of the border today and saddles-up SNITZAROO who looks a contender here after three starts this preparation. Last start, he took on city class gallopers at Doomben where the Class 1 contest that day proved a little too rich for him, finishing last of the seven runners. This looks an easier affair and from gate seven, the four-year-old maps to settle better than mid-field. Michael Hellyer is the pilot for this assignment and with a trouble-free run, he can figure in this event.

Race 6:  No.12  EYE WANTED  ($8 with Bet Right)

The Kevin Kemp-trained EYE WANTED is in good touch of late with four-straight podium finishes and with a handy draw today, looks in the mix to challenge for victory in this contest. Last start, the Wanted mare made it three-straight bronze medals when she finished third in a BM62 Hcp over 1200m at Kilcoy. Montanna Savva was in the saddle for her fifth ride that day as she steered the mare to within a length of victory. Down in grade here, she gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to settle in the first half-dozen, with cover. A nice easy ride behind a genuine pace today can see her putting in a big challenge in the run home at odds today.
