Race 4 No. 4 PLAY WITH DESIRE – ($5)

Lightly raced galloper PLAY WITH DESIRE will be ready to tackle this trip for the first time following a gutsy win last start. Natasha Faithfull put Play With Desire into the race early over 1950 metres on this track. They ran along at a solid tempo with the pair hitting the front into the straight. Westozi had been backed heavily into the red with favourite backers seemingly home as he raced past Play With Fire inside the furlong. Faithfull had other ideas however, as she lifted Play With Desire to rally again and pull away for a strong win. They ran a fast time while training duo Daniel & Ben Pearce have found a similar race up in trip for Play With Desire.

Race 5 No. 3 SPIRIT MAN – ($4.20)

Former Simon Miller trained sprinter SPIRIT MAN has put two wins together since landing into the local stables of Julia Martin. The move out of the metro area allows Martin to race Spirit Man through his grades. She did have a throw at the stumps in town with Spirit Man perhaps showing that he’s not quite up to them over there. Led all the way under Austin Galati when winning a Class Two over 1213 metres first-up. Stayed to trip second-up when Galati followed the speed into the straight. Spirit Man shot for home on straightening then appeared to be in cruise mode inside the furlong. He found another gear when the runner-up ranged alongside races as though the 1100 metres would suit.

Race 7 No. 2 FROST DAVID – ($16)

The early market has again let the profitable combination of Kylie Craig and Mollie Clark open out the back gate. Not sure why as the pair are chasing a hat-trick of wins with FROST DAVID. Clark controlled the maiden aboard this horse before Frost David snuck away to open a winning break. Craig then sent the pair out over the same 1200 metre trip in a fast run Class One race. Clark had Frost David travelling a treat underneath her from a midfield position. The pair overwhelmed their rivals as they came as the widest runner into the straight. Frost David came away for a convincing win and again stays to track and trip in what looks like a deep Class Two race on his home deck.
