BEST BET 🏆
Race 5: No.3 LADY AUDREY ($2.30 with Palmerbet)
Newcastle-based galloper LADY AUDREY makes her track debut today and with a glowing resume, she looks right in the mix here. Last start, the Pride Of Dubai mare brought up her second win this time in when she proved too good for them in a Class 1/Maiden over the mile at Taree. She covered that trip, 5.6 lengths slower than benchmark, still the best effort in this field by 7 lengths. This contest looks no stronger today and drawn the fence, she maps to be box-seating on settling. Scratched from the Scone meeting to run here today, Clay Gallagher is in the saddle and with a trouble-free run, she will take beating.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 4: No.4 HAMPTON COVE ($5.50 with Unibet)
The Brett Thompson-trained HAMPTON COVE is in great touch of late and looks well placed here to go on with it today. Last start, the Onemorenomore gelding just missed posting back-to-back wins when he beat all but home on a BM66 Hcp over 950m on a Heavy 10 at Cowra. He meets similar company here where he finished third in a Class 2 contest three starts back. Anthony Cavallo has the reins today and from gate two, he maps to be box-seating behind the early pace on settling. Already a two-time winner on soft tracks, conditions look ideal for him to bring up win career-win number four today.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 6: No.12 MISS TWENTY TWO ($12 with Palmerbet)
Down in the weights today, Dubbo galloper MISS TWENTY TWO ticks enough boxes here to be considered a worthy challenger today. Last start, the Shooting To Win mare came off back-to-back victories when she took on a BM50 Hcp over 1800m at Gulargambone. With Jake Barrett on board, she missed by a whisker, taking home the silver medal that day. She drops back in distance today but has several wins around today’s journey. She has drawn out but will settle back in the field as per normal. Dropping 2kgs today, she carries just 54kgs for this contest as Barrett sticks with her (after steering her to three wins from his past four rides on the mare). Already a winner at the track, she looks well worth an each-way ticket today.
