BEST BET 🏆

Race 8:  No.2  I AM GOOD AT THIS  ($2.80 with Bet Right)

The Matt Dunn-trained I AM GOOD AT THIS is in top-shelf form this preparation and looks set to go on with it today. Last start, the I Am Invincible gelding improved off consecutive minor placings when he easily accounted for them in a 1550m Maiden Plate at Murwillumbah. Sent out a white-jot ($1.30) favourite, he gave backers no cause for alarm as he crossed the line almost two lengths clear in the end. Aaron Bullock steers the ship today and from gate four, maps to settle better than mid-field with cover. Fourth-up and at his peak today, he looks set for back-to-back wins here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 4:  No.4  BURNT BUTTER  ($4.75 with BoomBet)

The Brett Cavanough-trained BURNT BUTTER is in career-best form of late and looks more than capable of taking this contest out today. Last start, the Dissident gelding came off consecutive runner-up finishes when he went one better and finally broke through for his maiden victory, here over 1006m. Jake Bayliss has his second ride on the four-year-old today and from gate four, he maps to settle just behind the speed with cover. Winning form is good form and now a winner at the track and distance, he is in the firing line for back-to-back wins here.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 6:  No.9  REVONTULET  ($6 with Ladbrokes)

Ballina trainer, Stephen Lee, saddles-up a couple here as we run with REVONTULET who has the track experience and meets her stablemate better at the weights today. Last start the Foxwedge mare made it back-to-back victories when she came off her maiden win and took out a BM58 Hcp over 1300m at Ballina. With Jai Williams aboard, she came from well back and threaded her way through the field to finish best and grab victory near the post. Williams sticks with her today and the small rise in trip can only enhance her chances here. The consistent mare has managed to rack-up six podium finishes from her seven career starts to date and she carries 6kgs less than her stablemate (Nickelback) here. With a trouble-free run, she can bring up the hat-trick today at good odds.
