Grafton Tips for Tuesday, September 26

Our form expert provides Grafton tips for today’s horse racing at Grafton Racecourse and gives his best bets.

BEST BET 🏆

Race 7:  No.10  PROPHETS DE’VINE  ($6 with BlueBet)

Annabel Neasham saddles-up PROPHETS DE’VINE here who is three starts into this campaign and in winning form, can go on with it today. Last start, the Divine Prophet mare came off an unplaced effort in a Sunshine Coast Maiden when she was sent out a white-hot ($1.60) favourite at Gatton and didn’t disappoint, taking out a Maiden Hcp over 1600m by more than two lengths on the day. Ash Morgan has the reins here where a repeat of that last performance should see her very hard to beat in this contest. She is Neasham’s only runner here today and is our best on the program.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 6:  No.5  ZANARDEE’S LANE  ($2.65 with BoomBet)

The Sally Taylor-trained ZANARDEE’S LANE is in top-shelf form this time in and ticks every box required to suggest he can take out this contest today. Last start, the Raphael’s Cat gelding came off a big win in Class 1 company on this track when he took on a Class 2 Hcp at Coffs Harbour, beating all but one home that day over the 1205m trip. Adin Thompson has been aboard for the five-year-old’s past two starts and remains in the saddle for this assignment. He has drawn wide but has the early gate speed to be sitting mid-field with cover on settling. His consistency has seen him on the podium at his past six starts and already a two-winner here, he will take beating today.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5:  No.2  PRESSFAL  ($9.50 with Picklebet

Gold Coast galloper PRESSFAL goes south of the border today and sees the Grafton track for the first time where he looks every chance of going back-to-back here. Last start, the lightly-raced Sacred Falls gelding came off a five-week freshen-up when he broke through for his maiden win over 2200m at the Sunshine Coast. He sat mid-field most of the way then finished best to grab the major prize in the end with Michael Cahill in the saddle. He draws gate seven today but maps to get back early. After four runs, he should be at his peak for this with plenty of upside on offer today. Cahill sticks with him and a trouble-free run here should see him in the fight for a podium finish at good odds.
