Race 6 No. 2 ACTAEON- ($2.70) 

Keen on ACTAEON in Race 6. The Symon Wilde-trained galloper claimed his Maiden over the 1400m here two starts ago, leading all the way to win by nearly three lengths. He was then tried in a BenchMark 64 and settled midfield over the 1400m at Warrnambool before running on for 4th behind Adandiman, going two lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is the best last start figure of any runner. This looks easier and he won’t be too far away in the run from barrier 7.

Race 5 No. 3  ROARING ENGINE -($4.20) 

ROARING ENGINE can go close in Race 5. He was given a freshen up after battling over the 2025m at Mornington on November 14 but his form was solid in his first two runs this preparation when close up in BenchMark 64 races, placing over the 2000m at Seymour. The Danny O’Brien-trained galloper was competitive in harder races than this at a similar stage of his last preparation and if he has recovered from his last start, the son of Reliable Man should be hard to beat.
