KODIAK BEAR can go on with the job in Race 6. The promising stayer from the Symon Wilde camp has had just the two career starts for a narrow runner-up on debut at Mortlake over the 1600m before winning his Maiden easily at Donald on November 19 when rising to the 2200m, putting two lengths on the runner-up horse, while there was a five-length gap back to 3rd. The four-year-old went 2.4 lengths slower than standard in his recent win. That is four lengths better than the class average and seven lengths better than the next best figure of any runner.

Race 5 No. 6 FIORENTE SPRITZ- ($7.60) 

FIORENTE SPRITZ shapes as a solid player in Race 5 of the day at Hamilton. The six-year-old has had three runs this time in and improved to run 3rd at her most recent start with that coming behind Unfair Dismissal at Ararat over the 1600m. She loomed to win before just peaking late. The daughter of Fiorente comes into this with the fitness under her belt and draws perfectly in barrier 3 with Ryan Houston to ride.
