Race 3:  No.1  STANCZYK  ($3.05 with BoomBet)

The Tracey Bartley-trained STANCZYK has finished a bridesmaid in all three starts to date and should be now be ready to break through today. Last start, the Magic Albert gelding made it three-straight runner-up finishes when he (again) beat all but one home in a 1400m Maiden Plate at the Sapphire Coast track. He has shown plenty of promise (without winning) and gets another chance here to go one better. The extra distance today looks ideal and third-up here, he should take beating.

Race 7:  No.10  TARZARAL  ($5.50 with Ladbrokes)

The Team Snowden-trained TARZARAL is unbeaten this time in and with a little luck at the start today, looks set to bring up the hat-trick here. Last start, the Fastnet Rock gelding made it back-to-back wins when he finished too strong for them in a BM88 Hcp over the mile at Randwick. With Chad Schofield aboard that day, he settled mid-field and carried 55kgs to cross the line ahead of the 11-strong field. He drops a kilo here and has Schofield sticking with him. He does have to contend with the outside gate (14) here but has won his past two from wide draws. If he can cross and find cover near mid-field, he should be there at the finish again.

Race 5:  No.5  FROSBIE  ($6 with Palmerbet)

Another from the Tracey Bartley stable is FROSBIE who has two victories from his four starts this time in and looks well placed here to knock-up another one today. Last start, the Scissor Kick gelding bounced back from an unplaced run at Scone when he took out a Class 1/Maiden over 1600m at the Sapphire Coast. Sent out a $2.80 favourite, he didn’t disappoint, winning by almost a length on the line. He welcomes a new rider today with Reece Jones taking the reins as he steps up in both distance and grade here. Four starts back, he should be at his peak today and looks in the mix for back-to-back victories.
