BEST BET 🏆
Race 3: No.8 M UNICORN ($2.50 with Bet Right)
The Caspar Fownes-trained M UNICORN is in great touch since retuning from the end-of-season break and looks well placed here to go on with it tonight. Last start, the Savabeel gelding came off a big win over the mile, here in Class 4 Hcp when he met similar company over the same trip and finished a close-up fourth after getting caught too far back that night, carrying 4.5kgs more as well. He faces Class 4 company again over the same trip here and has drawn a little better as Vince Ho takes the reins for the second time. With a better start and a little more luck tonight, he can bounce back and collect the major prize.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 7: No.3 ALL IS GOOD ($4.20 with bet365)
Francis Lui saddles-up ALL IS GOOD here who has knocked-up four-straight wins so far and with Zac Purton remaining aboard tonight, he looks every chance of extended it to five in this contest. Last start, the Press Statement gelding resumed off the season break and picked-up where he left off as he clobbered a Class 3 field over 1400m at Sha Tin. Purton was in charge that day and steered the five-year-old to a 1.5 length victory. He has had the benefit of two recent trials and lines-up here already a first-up winner. He drops 3kgs for this assignment and with that weight relief, could prove hard to hold out tonight.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 8: No.6 COLOURFUL EMPEROR ($4.25 with BoomBet)
The Tony Cruz and Zac Purton combination is at work here with COLOURFUL EMPEROR second-up and looks in the mix tonight. Last start, the Holy Roman Emperor gelding made a successful return to the track when he finished a close-up second behind Lucky Archangel in a Class 3 Hcp, here over 1200m. The winner secured an inside run on the turn which contributed strongly to his (long neck) victory that night. That was ‘the Emperor’s’ first look at Happy Valley and he will only improve on that run. Already a winner when second-up and Purton boasting a 22% success rate with the stable, this fellow has strong claims towards a victory tonight.
