BEST BET 🏆   

Race 1 No. 11 EASY MONEY- ($3.20) 

EASY MONEY can get the job done in the opener. The Tony & Calvin McEvoy-trained galloper has had the three career starts for a couple of minor placings and comes off a last start 3rd at Bendigo over the 1600m. She was held up at the 500m before getting out and making up some ground before just peaking on her run late. This looks a bit weaker and the drop to the 1400m might suit, while the daughter of Overshare draws to get the run of the race from barrier 4. 

NEXT BEST 🥈   

Race 6 No.5 STARDOM AWAAYTS- ($3.05) 

This looks to be a suitable assignment for STARDOM AWAAYTS. The four-year-old drops down to BenchMark 64 and has been competitive at Moonee Valley in recent times in slightly harder company. He ran on to fill the exacta behind Jennivamoose two starts ago before getting too far back in a slowly run race when 7th behind Fagin. Both of those were over the 2040m and he came home with the fastest last 200m. The Matthew Williams-trained galloper went 0.3 lengths slower than standard benchmark in the most recent of those, which is five lengths better than the next best last start figure of any runner. He draws perfectly in barrier 3. 

NEXT BEST 🥈   

Race 8 No. 2 ZIPITUP- ($3.55) 

ZIPITUP has been excellent at his past two starts and should be hard to beat in the final race of the day. The five-year-old was a winner at Yarra Valley two starts ago over the 1000m before tackling the 1100m at Ararat on March 8 and going down in a close one behind Stellar Mofeed. Those two gapped the rest and he went just 3.2 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is the best last start benchmark figure of any runner in this race.
