BEST BET 🏆

Race 6:  No.4  RADIANT REMI  ($2.05 with Neds)

The Tony Gollan-trained RADIANT REMI has come back in top-shelf form and looks set to go on with it here. Last start, the Spirit Of Boom mare came off a first-up victory on this track when she beat all but one to the line in a Class 2 Hcp over 1200m at the Sunshine Coast. Ben Thompson was aboard for both those events and remains in the saddle today. She is one from one at the track and her winning chances has have been enhanced here with some important early scratchings. She maps to settle near mid-field and with a clear run to the line, she should prove hard to hold out today.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 5:  No.7  SHALAA’S MOMENT  ($3.10 with Ladbrokes)

The O’Dea & Hoysted team saddle-up SHALAA’S MOMENT here who has won three of her six career starts to date and looks poised for back-to-back victories today. Last start, the Shalaa mare had Ben Thompson on board for the first time when she destroyed her BM70 rivals, finishing three lengths ahead of them in the 800m contest on this track. Sent out a hot $2.60 favourite, she ran accordingly, coming from mid-field early, then going on with it in the run home. She has to deal with a wide draw here (gate 10) but Thompson sticks with her for this assignment and now a track and distance winner, she will be at her peak today and looks the testing material here.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 7:  No.5  THUNDER MOON  ($8.50 with Bet Right)

The Mark Currie-trained THUNDER MOON is third-up today and looks set to make his track debut a winning one. Last start, the Shalaa gelding finished just behind the placegetters in a BM62 over 1100m on his home-track at Toowoomba with Matty McGillivray in the saddle. The five-year-old boasts an impressive resume with his 16 career-starts resulting in four wins and as many minor placings. Kyle Wilson-Taylor picks up the ride today and he boasts a 30% success rate with the stable. Already a winner when third-up and a winner over the trip, he looks in the mix here and well worth an each-way ticket today.
