The Tony Gollan-trained FLENSBURG has found his mojo recently and looks well placed here to continue the good work in this contest. Last start, the Reset gelding came off a big win here in a BM65 Hcp when he finished second (beaten a length) behind Savy Legend in a Heat of the Prov. Stayers’, here over 2210m. They clash again here with Flensburg drawn better and meeting him better at the weights as well. Angela Jones has the ride and already a two-time winner here as well, he has the wood on a few of these and should prove hard to hold out.

Race 5: No.5 ORBISYN ($8 with Ladbrokes)
The David Vandyke-trained ORBISYN ticks enough boxes here to make things very interesting at the end of this contest. Last start, the Rich Enuff gelding was fresh off a 17-week spell when he finished mid-field in the Listed Chief De Beers over 1110m at Doomben. That was a strong effort finishing just three lengths off the winner on fresh legs in Listed company. He should find this Class 6 a lot easier and already a winner when second-up, he looks well placed to figure in the finish here.

Race 7: No.2 DARK DESTROYER ($13 with Bet Right)
The Lance O’Sullivan Team cross the Tasman and saddle-up DARK DESTROYER here who is third-up and a far better winning chance than the markets think. Last start, the Proisir gelding was second-up off a lengthy nine-month absence when he finished mid-field in the Listed Wayne Wilson Plate under WFA conditions. Third-up here, he climbs to a more suitable distance and is a winner of five races from his 13 starts. A third-up winner as well, he has conquered Group 1 company, winning the Tarzino Trophy at Hastings (NZ) and now fitter for two runs back, he looks a solid each-way ticket in this contest.
