The Chris Munce-trained HEROIC MISS is in top-shelf form this preparation and should prove hard to hold out in this contest. Last start, the Heroic Valour mare had her third crack at city class company and unfortunately for her, came up with the same result, an unplaced finish, but this time did show improvement when taking home fourth prize, beaten just two lengths on the line in a BM0-65 over 1110m. Back to provincial company today, she has a bridesmaid record here with four minor placings coming from her five starts at the track. At her peak here after four starts back, she gets the gun run from gate one and should be there at finish again.

Race 5:  No.10  A LOT OF BOOTY  ($4 with Ladbrokes)

The Sunshine Coast-based A LOT OF BOOTY has impressed this time in, finding the podium at his past four starts and looks well placed here to rack-up another top-three finish today. Last start, James Orman enjoyed his fifth-straight ride on the galloper when he crossed the line in third place in a Class 1 over 1200m at Doomben. He has finished in the money at his past two city runs and now returns to the Provincial scene where his two starts at Ipswich to date ended in top-two finishes. From gate six, and good early gate speed, he maps to settle in the first half dozen today and should prove hard to hold out from there.

Race 6:  No.10  PRIVATE BANKER  ($16 with Palmerbet)

Desleigh Forster saddles-up PRIVATE BANKER here who is third-up today and capable of figuring here at odds. Last start, the Capitalist gelding impressed when second-up as he finished a close-up third in a Class 2 Hcp over 1650m at Doomben with Jayden Lloyd aboard. He raced greenly that day, hanging out at every opportunity and yet beaten just a length on the line. Fitter for those two runs, Lloyd sticks with him here and from gate four, he maps to settle in the first half dozen. With a trouble-free run, he can give this contest a real shake at decent each-way odds.
