Tony Gollan saddles-up KOBENHAVN here who is third-up and looks set for back-to-back victories today. Last start, the I Am Invincible mare showed plenty of improvement when second-up, she came off an eight-week let-up and did best to take out a BM62 Hcp over 1200m at the Gold Coast. Taking over on the turn, she showed plenty of fight to hold them all at bay and beat home the 11-strong field by half a length on the line. She draws wide in gate ten today but this contest looks a little easier and she welcomes premiership leading rider James Orman on board who has his first ride on the mare today. With a little luck in running, she can settle close enough with cover and frank that last win to claim the major prize here.

Race 5:  No.6  DIABLO BOLT  ($4.40 with bet365)

The Annabel Neasham-trained DIABLO BOLT is in top-shelf form of late and looks set to bring up the hat-trick today. Last start, the Hellbent gelding came off his maiden win at Grafton when he franked that effort by taking out a Class 1 event over 2020m at Murwillumbah. With Jag Guthmann-Chester on board for his first ride on the three-year-old, he rode him a treat, and pushed him all the way to cross the line two lengths clear of the 10-strong field that day. He gets all the favours here as he jumps from gate one today where he maps to be box seating on settling. Winning form is good form and with Guthmann-Chester as the pilot again, he looks poised to go on with it in this contest.

Race 4:  No.4  ORIGINAL GLAZE  ($7.50 with Ladbrokes)

Local galloper ORIGNAL GLAZE has only found the podium once this preparation but is capable of further improvement in this contest. Last start, the Thronum mare finished just behind the placegetters in a BM65, here over 1680m. Under Jasper Franklin, she raced ungenerously and overraced most of the way, leaving no fuel left for the run home. Georgina Cartwright returns for today’s assignment who has steered the mare to two of her four career victories to date. Seven starts at the track have led to two wins and as many minor placings with both wins coming at today’s trip. She is worth another chance with Cartwright back in the saddle and a clear run home should see her improve enough to challenge for the major prize today.
