Kilmore Tips 7/2/2023
BEST BET 🏆
Race 3 No. 1 ALL SASSED UP – ($2.50)
ALL SASSED UP can break through in Race 3 at Kilmore. The Price/Kent Jnr-trained galloper has had the three starts for a couple of placings at her first preparation before resuming at Sandown on January 7 and finishing 6th behind Bistro. She had a few things go against in that run before pulling up with a poor recovery. This is much easier and worth noting that she was a big improver on benchmark figures at her second career start when 3rd in the Listed St Albans Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley. Look for her to lead or box seat from the inside barrier and take some running down.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 6 No. 3 ROYAL WAZI – ($4.20)
ROYAL WAZI can go on with the job in Race 6. The Jerome Hunter-trained galloper stepped out on debut on January 24 and led all the way to defeat Lochend Umosa over the 1114m at Moe. She showed some tenacity in the closing stages to go 1.6 lengths slower than standard, which is three lengths better than the next best figures of any runner in this race and the fourth best that any runner has achieved in the past two years. Improvement to come at her second start, while the 3kg claim for Ryan Houston gets her down to a winnable weight.
BEST VALUE 💰(EACH-WAY)
Race 4 No. 8 OASIS GOLD – ($8)
OASIS GOLD shapes as a solid player in Race 4, which is a Maiden over the 1107m. The Matthew Ellerton mare came close to breaking her Maiden at the track and trip last year when runner-up behind Quaraysha in what has turned out to be a strong form race. The four-year-old comes off a luckless run at Warrnambool on January 25 when held up on a number of occasions before placing 4th behind Yellow Sam. She might look to cross over from the barrier and is worth thought at the each-way quote.
