Race 5 No. 2 SIR FREDDIE- ($4.40)

SIR FREDDIE can just about make it back to back wins in Race 5 of the day. The four-year-old stepped out at the track over the 1100m on May 11 and scored on protest ahead of Alluring Grace, while there was a three-length gap back to the rest. He overcame a check at the top of the straight to produce the fastest last 200m, going 3.7 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which are the best last start figures of any runner. Look for him to tuck in just behind them and the 2kg claim for Codi Jordan gets him down to a winnable weight.

Race 2 No 4 PALENTINE’S DAY- ($4.55)

PALENTINE’S DAY gets his chance in Race 2. The four-year-old has had just the four career starts and worked home well for 3rd at Geelong over the 1312m two starts ago before heading to Cranbourne and finishing 4th behind Super Valentine on May 5. That came over the 1400m and he was a touch slow to begin before working home fairly in a slowly run race. Step up to the 1600m suits and the blinkers go on.

Race 4 No 1 DENTE’S INFERNO- ($11.20)

DENTE’S INFERNO can go close in Race 4 of the day after last start effort that saw him finish runner-up at Kyneton on May 5 over the 1200m. The four-year-old settled back in that race and produced the fastest 200m to miss out by under a length from Exile. That was a solid improvement on the two races he turned out in last year and the son of Redente looks to have come back in good order. Look for him to settle back and be running on late.
