Race 4 No. 2 GOLDEN HIPS ($2.60) 

GOLDEN HIPS can break the Maiden in Race 4. The four-year-old has placed in both runs since switching to the Jason Warren stable with the most recent of those coming at Moonee Valley when running on for 3rd over the 1600m behind Grand Touraine. He has been strong late in the piece in those two runs and the step up to the 2050m looks like it will suit.

Race 2 No. 1 DUMMY SPIT- ($3.30) 

DUMMY SPIT can go close in Race 2. The four-year-old was wide before going down by a length in a leader dominated affair at Pakenham over the 1000m two starts ago before heading to Sandown on November 29 and running 5th behind Ginger N Pink. He led that day before fading late, going 0.8 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has produced. This looks easier and he will settle close to the front from barrier 7.

Race 6 No. 4 MORNING MELODY- ($2.70) 

MORNING MELODY can go close in Race 6. The five-year-old drops from Benchmark 64 level and hasn’t been far away at her past few starts. Last time out she lined up at Pakenham and settled back in the field of 12 over the 1200m before running on to land a length behind Esseffninety. The daughter of Spill The Beans went 1.8 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is five lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. Luke Cartwright rides and claims the 3kg.
