Race 3 No. 4 SUNDAY BUZZ ($3.80)

We stretch out over the marathon 3850m in Race 3 for one of the Jericho Heats and SUNDAY BUZZ can go close for the Symon Wilde stable. The six-year-old has had three runs this time in and was 3rd behind Pesto in the most recent of those with that coming at Caulfield over the 2400m. He gets out past the 300m distance range and was a winner at Moonee Valley over the 3000m when stepping up from the 2400m around this stage of his last preparation.

Race 7 No. 10 RUBICON CROSSING- ($5.10)

RUBICON CROSSING can go close in Race 7. The Kiwi galloper has had two runs in Australia for a dominant win at Mornington before tacking a BenchMark 70 at Moonee Valley over the 1000m and running 5th behind Celui at the Cox Plate carnival. She drew wide and settled back in that race before chasing solidly. The daughter of Rubick draws much better this time in barrier 3 and might camp a little closer.

Race 5 No. 11 RUMINATE- ($15)

Hoping the first emergency, RUMINATE, can sneak into the field for Race 5. The three-year-old from the Matt Cumani stable represents a bit of value and was solid in a much stronger race than this two starts ago when 5th behind Fistoffury over the 1500m at Moonee Valley. He was then sent over to Adelaide for a crack at the Listed Hill Smith Stakes (1800m) but didn’t quite see out the 1800m. Blinkers go back on and he will be ridden by the recent Group 1 winner, Declan Bates.
